Obituary of Jane S. Erway

Jane S. Erway of Rush and Rochester, NY died peacefully March 30, 2013 at Monroe Community Hospital where she was a resident for 4 years. She was 81. Jane was born the daughter of William and Gladys Conway Simons, Jr., on October 10, 1931 in Rochester, NY. Jane attended RIT for retailing and retired from the March of Dimes as their Health Education Coordinator. She was very active in the Rush community as a Girl Scout Leader and member of the Republican Committee, American Red Cross, Garden Club, Senior Citizens and St. Joseph's Church. Predeceased by her parents, Gladys and William J. Simons, Jr., and her beloved husband M. Robert Erway. She is survived by her daughters, Suzanne (Stephen) Hoffman and Julie (Paul) Tucker; granddaughters, Laura Hoffman, Lauren (Trey) Needham and Kelsey Tucker; great granddaughter, Lilian Needham, expected in May; nieces, nephews and their families; and many devoted lifelong friends. Friends may call Thursday 6-9 pm at the Merton H. Kays Funeral Home, Inc. 59 Monroe St. Honeoye Falls. Mass of Christian Burial, Friday 10 am in Marianne Cope Parish @ St. Joseph's Church, 6105 Rush-Lima Road, Rush. Private burial, Pine Hill Cemetery.
