Obituary of Raymond J. Michel

Raymond J. Michel of Honeoye Falls, NY, passed away in his sleep from pneumonia on Friday, January 13, 2012 at the age of 92. Ray was born the son of Frank and Julia Doser Michel on January 21, 1919 in Henrietta, NY. Ray was a member of St. Paul of the Cross Church, was a WW II Army Veteran and retried as Postmaster of Honeoye Falls in July of 1976. He was predeceased by his loving wife Viola (Habecker) Michel on August 1, 2002. He is survived by his brother-in-law Buddy Habecker of upstate NY, sister-in-law Sylvia Michel of Honeoye Falls, NY. 4 nieces, Joann (Jim) Bobzien of Honeoye Falls, Sandra (Tom) Guido of PA, Marilyn (Robert) Riedel of FL, Sally (Deane) Gilbert of Honeoye Falls and 4 nephews, Jerry (Judy) D'Hont of Lakeville, Tom (Nancy) Michel of Springwater, Charles (Kathy) Michel of CA and Frank (Carolyn) Michel of KY. Ray's family and friends will meet for his Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at 10:00 am in St. Paul of the Cross Church, 37 Monroe St, Honeoye Falls followed by his burial at Honeoye Falls Cemetery. Contributions maybe made in his memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
