Obituary of Carol B. Yost

Carol B. Yost of Rush, NY went home to her Lord on November 5, 2015 at age 72. Carol was born at home in Morrisrun, PA on July 18, 1943 the daughter of Arthur and Theresa Stadler Eckman. She attended school in Morrisrun and graduated from North Penn High School. She went onto college getting her LPN from Williamsport Technical College (Penn College), and her RN from Corning Community College. She worked at the Divine Providence Hospital in Williamsport, PA; Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY and the VA Hospital in New York. She was a member of the Ely-Fagan American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, the Rush Henrietta Special Education Parents Forum where she organized fund raisers; the Henrietta Republican Party and St. Joseph’s Church in Rush. Carol loved her cats and to bird watch. She was most proud of being a devoted wife and loving mother. She predeceased by her husband Paul in 2012; her sisters, Marilyn and Gloria Eckman; nephews, Gary and Arthur Nusbaum; sister in law Beatrice Yost; father in law and mother in law Warren and Sara Yost. She is survived by her son, Kevin Yost; brothers, John A. “Jack” (Mary Margaret) and Robert L. (Mary Ann) Eckman; sisters in law, Delores Yost and Marilyn Lenig; brother in law Dio M. (Gladys) Yost; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Also her cats, rabbits and gold fish. No prior calling. Her Funeral Mass will be held at St. Marianne Cope Parish at St. Joseph’s Church, 1209 Rush Lima Road, Rush, NY on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at 10 am. Private burial at McEwensville Cemetery, PA next to her husband. Donations may be sent to a trust fund for her son Kevin Yost, c/o Canandaigua National Bank and Trust.
