Obituary of Susan Bonner Webster
Susan B. Webster of Honeoye Falls, N.Y, passed away peacefully at age 68 on December 25, 2015 after a long illness. She was predeceased by her parents Helen Bonner (1971) and Samuel S. (1979). She is survived by Brian her devoted husband of 47 years and two daughters Stacy Smathers (Mike Mills) and Tamara Webster, as well as two grandchildren Brianna (Nick) Merrill and Tristan Smathers, also two great grandsons Mason(8) and Gavin (5). Susan is also survived by two older brothers William S. (Pat) and Dean (Susan) Bonner. She leaves behind a cousin, nieces and nephews and many dear friends. Susan loved music and loved most singing in the church choir. She served as Elder and Deacon at Honeoye Falls First Presbyterian Church and particularly enjoyed assisting with communion to those unable to get to church. She graduated from RBI with a business degree in Business Administration Marketing and Sales, worked at Edwards Department Store through High School then secretary for NYS Department t of Agriculture and Markets, and later at the Vivarium at U of R, the Cloths Horse in HF and her favorite job at Dipper Dans. She and her husband bought and sold antiques for several years. She did volunteer work several years with Parents Anonymous at Child Abuse Hotline. She also promoted the Partners-In-Caring (PIC) program and started the yearly luncheon for the elderly. Additional interests included basket making, antiquing, quilts, croquet, reading and musicals. This season was her favorite time of year from Halloween to Thanksgiving to Christmas.
Her memorial service will be held on Jan 2, 2015, 11:00am at the Honeoye Falls First Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Honeoye Falls First Presbyterian Church Manse Fund, Benincasa or the Honeoye Falls-Mendon Ambulance.
