Obituary of Noreen E. Cook

Noreen E. Cook (Melton) of Honeoye: died June 27, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family following a long and brave battle with cancer. She was 71. Born in Rochester on July 20, 1945, the daughter of James and Eleonora Davey Melton. Noreen was a resident of Honeoye since the age of 12 and was a graduate of Honeoye Central School, class of 1963. She is survived by her life-long best friends and husband of 52 years, James Cook; her mother, Eleonora Melton; sons, Timothy and Thomas (Connie) Cook. Noreen will be missed by all her family including brothers and sisters, Diane (George) Romanyshyn, James (Janice) Melton, Patricia Wilson, Joseph (Beverly) Melton and John (Deborah) Melton; four grandchildren, Jeffery, Jason Nicole and James "Little Jimmy" Cook; one great grandchild Jai Jorden; several nieces, nephew, cousins and friends. Friends may attend Services Friday evening, 7 pm at the Honeoye United Church of Christ. Private burial, Lakeview Cemetery, Honeoye.
