Obituary of Eileen L. McNamara Cavanaugh

Eileen L. McNamara Cavanaugh of Scottsville died Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at Strong Memorial Hospital. She was 59. Eileen was born the daughter of Thomas and Patricia Lynd McNamara on April 27, 1954 in Rochester, NY. She was a realtor for Nothnagle Realtors in Pittsford and was a communicant of St. Mary's Church (Downtown) and also St. Mary of the Assumption in Scottsville. She was predeceased by her father, Thomas J. McNamara; her brother, James; sisters, Kathleen and Mary Claire and her father in law William E. Cavanaugh. Eileen is survived by her husband, John; her children, Christopher (Jennifer) West, Andrew (Melissa) West and Katharine (Marc) Adams. Grammie to Jackson, Noah, Hanna and Liam West; her mother, Patricia McNamara; siblings, Ann Berzak, Maureen (Tracey) McNamara, Thomas (Patricia) McNamara, John McNamara and Timothy (Maria) McNamara; the Cavanaugh family, Carol (Frank) Ciaccia, Donna (Scott) Collins, Eileen Cavanaugh (Peter), Paul (Sue) Cavanaugh, Mark (Judy) Cavanaugh, Sheila (Michael) Callahan and Michael Cavanaugh; several nieces and nephews. At Eileen's request, there will be no prior calling. Family and friends are invited to her Mass of Christian Burial to be held Monday, July 15, 2013 at St. Mary's Church (Downtown), 15 St. Mary's Place, Rochester at 9:30 am. Private burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, Fairport, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Eileen's memory may be made to Hope Hall, 1612 Buffalo Road, Rochester, NY 14624 or to Unity Health Dialysis, Long Pond Unit, 1555 Long Pond Road, Rochester, NY 14626.
