I hope Warren's family sees this message given how many years it's been since he prematurely left our planet. I went to Rochester with Warren, and literally a few moments ago, I was reminiscing about my time there and decided to look for him on LinkedIn so we could reconnect. When that search yielded no results, I googled him, and sadly, found this.
So a few words about Warren, and what he meant to me. I was new to the country when I went to the Simon School (in the doctoral program) and Warren soon became a great friend, perhaps even a guide, introducing me to the ways of America. He was a great source of support to me when I was still new. We partied together and even went to the beach together (a rarity in Rochester). My favorite story about Warren is this: My room mate and I, both PhD students in the same field, decided that the faculty were too distant and we needed to break down the walls, so we hosted a dinner party for faculty and PhD students. It was rather stiff until Warren showed up unannounced to see if I wanted to go out that evening for drinks. Instead I asked him to come join the dinner party. Since he wasn't a PhD student, he was most unconcerned about what our professors thought about him, and decided to liven up the party, being very playful with the faculty and their spouses. He brought out a side in them that we would never have seen on our own. There's more, but for now, that memory is my favorite. Sadly, as these things go, we we got jobs in different parts of the country and we lost touch, though I've frequently thought of him.
To his family, my deepest condolences. He went too soon. I'd love to learn more about his life after Rochester.

I am deeply saddened to hear of Warren's passing. Our Dad's were best friends, and though we were not related, I've always thought of Warren Sr. as my Uncle, and Warren, Wayne and Paul as my cousins. My heart goes out to all of you, to Warren's wife and children, and his friends. With Love, Cathy.

I attended Cornell with Warren my freshman year and lived just down the hall in the dorm. We were good buddies even though Dave stirrup's brother and I kicked down his door one night when I had too much to drink. He forgave me for that. I thought about that incident regularly over the years and wil never forget his face when he realized what I had done. It's sad to hear of his un-timley passing. My deepest sympathies to his family.

Dear Ann, Claire and Philip, There are not words to adequately express the depth of sadness and loss I feel. However, there are two words that always come to mind when I think of Warren: Loyalty and Integrity. He was a most loyal friend to me for nearly 30 years. Professionally, he was loyal to his colleagues and employers. Most of all, he was completely devoted to his family. Warren and I agreed that of all the qualities a man may possess, integrity is the one that no one can ever take from you; it must be given away. In my experience, he never surrendered even an iota of integrity. In honor of Warren, I want to help you with whatever you may need or want - now and into the future.

I always enjoyed my talks with Warren at Scouting events and campouts. His family always was a part of the conversation - you were his joy.
And he spread joy to others with his smile, good humor, and interesting stories.
I am stunned and saddened beyond words. You are all in my heart and I pray for strength and peace through this very difficult time.

So sorry to hear of your loss; it's a loss for the Alpha Sigma Phi community as well. Warren and I pledged Rockledge together, roomed together sophomore year, and I always enjoyed seeing him at CU events over the years. We all join the "Omega Chapter" eventually, but for Warren it was much too early and he will be missed by all.

Dear Ann, We are both so sorry for your tragic loss and will be there for you in times ahead. I remember fondly the time I convinced you all to visit Chincoteague/Assateague Island, but it was full of more mosquitoes than Warren could handle and he packed you all up and headed out to a hotel! Oops!
Please know we are here for you.

One thing we value about this community is the wonderful people in it. Warren was an important presence in our neighborhood. We could count on him to give our dog Minnie someone to bark at, and we could count on his warm friendly smile whenever we crossed paths. Our hearts are heavy for you and your family.

I got to know Warren through seeing him at many technology and network meetings. He was always a kind, professional and bright person. We met for lunches on occasion, in fact we had lunch in May and were in the process of planning another. He always spoke with such care and pride in his wife and family, and I could tell by the way he held himself his family felt the same. My heart goes out to you all with my deepest sympathy. My friend, you will be missed!

Warren, you set the bar......We have never met a more kind, sincere, loving husband and father....We are stunned and numb by this news. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Some time ago, When my cousin Ann told me she met Warren Grosjean, we could not have been happier. I really enjoyed our conversations over the phone. We made it a point to talk and catch up monthly or so, particularly about the Boston Sports scene,(He loved to call me and say, "what happened"? when one of our teams lost big, thinking I may have the inside scoop. He kept you on your toes) where Warren was born and we reside. We enjoyed his visits to Boston, just chilling and talking. I will miss talking to him. Rest in peace my good friend, sincerely, with love and admiration, The Metzdorf Family

Beyond the endless miles Warren walked in town what I admired most about Warren as his neighbor was watching him greet his children when they arrived home from school with unbridled love and affection. There is no greater measure of a man than that.
