Obituary of Donald DeMuynck

Donald DeMuynck age 86, formerly of Rush, NY passed away peacefully on November 22, 2017 in Vermont. Don was predeceased by parents, Charles and Clara DeMuynck, sister, Clara Popplewell, first wife Caroline and second wife Judy. He is survived by his children Barbara McGuire, FL; Karen (Mark) Huff, VA; Gary (Scott Merrick), NY; David (Cathy), VT; stepdaughter Lynne Flannery, FL; as well as sister, Rita (Joe) Cere, 7 grandchildren and several nieces and a nephew. Don served in the United States Army and later finished college in optical engineering. He began his career at Bausch and Lomb before joining Tropel and then OTI of Rochester, NY. Don enjoyed gardening, playing euchre, golfing (2 hole-in-ones), and spending time in Florida and the Thousand Islands of NY. Graveside service will be held Saturday April 14, 2018 @ 1 pm at Pine Hill Cemetery in Rush, NY with military honors. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
