Obituary of Roland D. Lyle

Roland D. Lyle, age 76, of Canandaigua died Sunday, July 1, 2018 Roland was born March 20, 1942 in Bath, NY. He is the son of the late Paul and Cassie (Yawger) Lyle. He is predeceased by his siblings: Mary, Richard, Winifred, AthaLee, Jean & Wanda. Roland retired from teaching 11th and 12th grade American History and Economics at Honeoye Falls-Lima Central School in 2003. Roland was an avid runner, and enjoyed traveling, especially internationally. He was a member of the Honeoye Lake Rotary Club and the Chairman of the Rotary District 712 International Youth Exchange Committee. The Lyle family hosted more than 8 International Youth Exchange students over his tenure. Roland loved spending time with family and friends at his favorite place on Keuka Lake. He is survived by his wife: Susannah (Lewis); their children: Eric (Lisa) Lyle of Honeoye Falls, Cori (Larry) Zacher of Geneva, IL & Michael Lyle of Canandaigua; grandchildren: Liam, Sophie & Cassie Lyle, Megan & Molly Zacher, Alex Cavenaugh, and Gabe & Erin Hill; a sister: Naomi DeCamp; his 2 brothers: James & Jack (Gail) Lyle and many other relatives and friends. Friends may call from 3-5 on Saturday July 7th at the Merton H.
