Obituary of James W. McGeary

It is with great sadness that the family of James William McGeary announces his passing after losing his battle with cancer, on Thursday, October 25, 2018, at the age of 63. James will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 45 years, Cathy and his children, Bridget (Ron) and Bradley (Beth). James will also be fondly remembered by his six grandchildren, Justin, Katlin, Austin, Cole, Cora and Max, by his mother, Julia Arlene McGeary, his sisters, Jean (Jerry), Patty (Skip), Maryellen (Phil), Kathy (George), by his brothers, Danny, John and Tommy, many nieces, nephews and cousins. James was predeceased by his father John. James loved his family more than anything else. He was a lifetime member of the West Bloomfield Fire Department, Sons of the American Legion Post 282 and was co-founder and a life member of the Legion Riders. Friends may call Friday, November 2, 2018 from 4-7 pm at the Merton H. Kays Funeral Home, Inc. 59 Monroe Street, Honeoye Falls. A Life Celebration in honor of James will be held Saturday at 12:30 pm at the Lima Legion Post 282 on Route 65 in West Bloomfield. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jims name may be made to the Legion Riders of Post 282.
