Having just read the RIT magazine and learning of Kristine's passing, I am shocked and saddened.
I knew Kristine through RIT and she was always so positive and friendly. Our paths crossed often and I'll always remember her with her huge smile and good natured personality.
My deepest condolences to her entire family.

I am so sorry for your personal loss, and for the loss of an earth angel. Kristine was so kind to me at a difficult time in my life. We graduated as HeartMath Trainers together, and I thought it was so appropriate that she was there, because her heart was so wide open, giving, and generous. I love her comment to her mom about God, and I believe it shows the purity and strength of her love that she had that beautiful vision to share before she left. I will miss her, but I know that she will still be helping here on earth, just from the other side. May God bless you all with comfort.

My heart is broken n I have no words of comfort. Thru Mom, Mary Ann, I have “known”her forever. My biggest thrill was her game at RIT for her honors n the retiring of her jersey.....n then praying for her thru her illness years ago.
She has touched more lives in her few years on earth than most ever will. We were proud to know her. Prayers for Mom n Dad and her precious family.

I am truly blessed to have known Kristine for the past year year and a half. Her nutrition and coaching work was always inspiring to me in my own pursuit of a nutrition career. I'll always reflect with gratitude - and a big smile - our conversations. She was such a positive, joyful, and funny lady whom I was proud to call a friend and very much looked forward to seeing. My love goes out to her beautiful family during this time <3

Didn't even know Kristine was sick. So very sorry . I never saw her without a smile. She was a joy to be around, especially watching her come down the street when the kids were young to see the dogs when I was walking them. Or the time Kristine spotted me at the grocery store and told me to leave some marrow bones for her dog. Such a treasure to be gone so soon. My love and prayers to you David and family. We are just down the street if you need anything. Sandy

To the Brassie and Pierce families, you are in my prayers.
I had the honor of knowing Kristine throughout her years at RIT, where she earned the love and respect of all who knew her, on the hockey field and off. After completing her math requirements, she went to one of her math professors, admitting that she no longer hated math “Now, I just don’t like it!” Kristine brought her natural joy, easy laughter and warm smiles with her everyone. She reached out to others to help them be comfortable as she recovered from cancer, winning everybody’s hearts as she continued to attend classes.
In spite of Kristine’s many well deserved honors, she remained humble. Her friends and teammates were more important than accolades to her. I will always remember Kristine’s warm heartedness, loving kindness, strong work ethic, love of family and friends and, most of all, her inner beauty.
May she Rest In Peace. Much love, Karen Quinn

To Kristine, her wonderful husband and children, her beautiful parents and siblings,
Words cannot express the beauty that is Kristine. She will live on in so many ways. I remember in high school when she taught our class what it meant to have a learning disability. Totally herself, unafraid, and strong -- at a time when kids usually don't want to be different. It was such a joy to be part of her being inducted into the HFL Hall of Fame last year. Her life wasn't long, but it certainly made a huge difference. She leaves a legacy of four children, the foundation she started, an example of how to face life head on and of how to leave still trying hard. Deepest sympathy and wishes for all of you to have the strength to get through the sadness of not having her here with you in the way you were used to. It will be transformed into another way of her being with you.
My aunt died at 39 and left her 5 children ages 5 to 13. Every one of them has flourished and I have to believe their mother and their father who died shortly thereafter ,helped them in ways we don't yet understand. I'm sure Kristine will be with you not only in your wonderful memories, but as a continuing presence in your daily lives. With much love, Joan Haviland

In loving memory of a light in my life, a treasured and remarkable parent and friend. To know her is to be in the presence of something greater than mankind. I often referred to her as “my school mom”, having her in your company made you feel safe, loved and treasured. Kristine was the treasure, the winning of the lottery and a measure of light that so few have. Having the opportunity to teach her children and to be a part of her life is something I will always be thankful for. My love to Dave, Chloe, David, Christopher and Matthew. Your Kristine was a gift to so many. Praying for peace in your broken hearts. -Stacey Tisa
