Sue was always so thoughtful and kind. Although she was retired by the time my kids went to school, she was an HFL legend.
I want to share a memory of her help with Vacation Bible School One year as the craft project, we wanted to have the children make fabric squares, intending to put together a few quilts to donate to Sojourner House. Initially Sue was great help with the idea and then cutting out iron-on shapes so the 3 to 5 year old classes could participate.
My expectation was that we would have some fabric squares for parents to see on Friday, our last day. We were overwhelmed when Sue brought in 4 or 5 finished quilts to display. I know she was a wonderful quilter, but she must have stayed up all night sewing so those kids could see the finished product!!!!
My sympathy to all her family

My condolences to Sue's family, especially he daughters. I sat with Sue at a GVQC luncheon where she shared her love and respect for daughters. It was a fun and delightful exchange as she shared stories of her family.

Sue supported us and our son Brian, her student, during his battle with cancer. She came to our house tutoring him lovingly and respectfully throughout his illness. We, unfortunately, lost our son but are eternally grateful to Sue. Rest in peace.

Please accept my deepest sympathy on the loss of your mother (and grandmother). No matter how old we are, it still hurts to lose our mom. I have personally found comfort in the words at Acts 24:15 where it tells us, "There is going to be a resurrection", and that soon God will "wipe out every tear" from our eyes. (Rev. 21:4) I'm also looking forward to seeing the fulfillment of Psalm 92:14, "Even in old age they will still be thriving; They will remain vigorous and fresh".
You have my sincere condolences while we patiently wait for that day.
