Obituary of Julia Arlene McGeary

HONEOYE FALLS – Julia Arlene McGeary passed away at the age of 97 peacefully at the Avon Nursing Home March 29, 2020. Arlene was born in West Bloomfield to Edward and Marie Shellman. She was pre-deceased by her son James, her brothers Joseph, William, James, Leo and Alfred. She is survived by her daughters Jean (Jerry) Batte, Kathy Langan (George Miller), Mary Ellen (Phil) Kirkwood, Patricia (Glenn) Anderson. Sons John, Dan and Tom. Daughter-in-law Cathy McGeary; sister-in-law Amarylis Shellman; 13 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren. Many special nieces and nephews. Arlene was a homemaker, sharing her love of cooking, sewing, and knitting with her 8 children and many grandchildren. Never missing a family function, she is remembered as someone who was always there for her family. She was someone that always made herself available to help anyone her family. The family would like to thank the staff at the Avon Nursing Home for their compassionate and professional care during her stay.
