Obituary of Barbara A. O'Connor

Barbara A. O'Connor of Mendon, NY age 89 passed away Thursday, April 30, 2020. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas J. O'Connor, daughter Kathleen E. Freeman, granddaughter Stephanie A. Freeman, brother Robert Folts. She is survived by daughters Patricia (Robert) Freeman, Ann Sandman, Susan McMahon (Doug Richards), Maureen (David) Sproull, Eileen Tassone, Martha (James) Hoh, JoAnn (Brian) Connolly; grandchildren Cory Ann Freeman (Jake Boiter), Erin (Albert) Smith, Sarah Freeman, Shawn McMahon, Chad McMahon (Molly Gimbel), Megan Sproull (Thomas Ripley), Christopher Tassone, Kerry Tassone, Emily (Wil) Woolaver, Allison Hoh (Josh Gilbert), Miles Hoh, Nolan Hoh, Lily Hoh; great grandchildren Johnathan Edwards (Alicia Miller), Aeris Stanton, Hannah Leathersich (David Culhane), Morrigan Smith, James Kyle, Lucy and Molly Woolaver; brother-in-law Bill (Constance) O'Connor, cousin Bette Galante, several nieces and nephews and many friends. Barbara was owner of the Honeycomb Beauty Salon in Honeoye Falls, and worked at Monroe Community Hospital, Lifetime Care, and was a long-time and beloved bartender at Ye Mendon Tavern. She was an avid golfer and former member of Sweet Adelines. She will be remembered for her kindness and her great sense of humor. Special thank you to all of Barbara's nurses and caregivers. Her Mass will be held Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 11 am at St. Catherine of Siena, 26 Mendon Ionia Road, Mendon. Burial, Mendon Cemetery.
