Obituary of John M. Brown

John M. Brown "Brownie" age 74 of Wayland, NY passed away early Sunday morning, September 20, 2020 at the Buffalo Veterans Medical Center. Brownie was born May 15, 1946 in Dansville, NY the son of the late Joseph and Frances Michel Brown. He was raised and lived his entire life in Wayland where he enjoyed time with his family and friends. In his early adult life he would be in Atlanta playing softball and as time went on he took up the game of golf and you would always find him Sunday mornings from Spring to Fall and sometimes Winter in Nunda golfing with his brothers-in-law, Gary Bill and Bob Fennell who have both predeceased him and also his friend Charlie Leeson, or he would be shoot'n the bull at the Wayland American Legion where he was a life long member. John proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and was Honorably Discharged September 8, 1968 with the rank of Seargent. John looked forward to every Fall, when he would have the oppurtunity to go deer hunting. He would find his luck every few years to be unsuccessful, but nontheless always looked ahead to the next year. John is survived by his wife, Linda (Stephens); his son Bryan (Tracey) Brown and his daughter Danyelle Brown; grandchildren Bryttani, Kayla, Kelsa, Logan and Kayden; great grandchildren, Trenton, Emmielou, Kali and Brody. He is also survived by his 7 brothers and sisters and their families. Max, the family dog was his riding partner and co-pilot as they patroled the Village of Wayalnd and Sawdust Road doing their best to keep up on things. A gathering will be held Sunday, September 27th, 1 pm at the family home on Sawdust Road in Wayland.
