Obituary of Marilynn M. Linder

Marilynn M. Linder, October 24, 2020. She was predeceased by her siblings, Ruth Ruby, Ethel Lattanzi and Albert Meding Jr. She is survived by her daughter Kimberly Jenks; beloved granddaughter Melanie Joy and several nieces and nephews. Marilynn was born in Irondequoit on February 8, 1928 to Albert and Minnie Meding, the youngest of 4 children. She moved with her family at a young age to West Henrietta, New York where she met the love of her life and Married Wallace E. McGrath "Wally" at the age of 18. They enjoyed going to parties and would often be the last ones on the dance floor at the end of the night. They spent years camping together with a wonderful group that went everywhere together. Every August they would spend time at Wally's brother Bill McGrath's cottage at the 1000 Islands where many family members and close friends would visit. Euchre and poker were their favorite card games and they would often play until the sun came up. They were happily married for 33 years until Wally's untimely death in 1980. Marilynn was lucky enough to meet and marry Howard Linder in 1986. They traveled together in their RV across the country and enjoyed an Alaskan cruise. They loved their property in Middlesex, NY and enjoyed spending time at their pond until his death in 2006. Marilynn was the best Mother and Grandmother in the world and her favorite moments were spending time with Kim and Melanie. They were fortunate enough to live right next to each other and spent time together almost every day. They continued their 1000 Island vacations together until Marilynn was no longer able. Marilynn's last few years were spent at MM Ewing Continuing Care in Canandaigua New York. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to all of the staff, especially the Lakeview wing, for the wonderful care and compassion she received during her time there. Memorials may be sent in her name to MM Ewing Continuing Care, 350 Parrish Street, Canandaigua, NY 14424. There will be a graveside service Saturday, October 31st at 1:00 pm at the Honeoye Falls Cemetery, 214 N Main Street, Honeoye Falls.
