Obituary of Donald P. Tobey
Donald P. Tobey, age 89 of Henrietta, NY died Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at Strong Memorial Hospital. He was born the son of the late Paul and Margaret Mack Tobey on August 24, 1931 in Rochester, NY. Don worked many years and retired from the Rush Henrietta Central School District. He was a member of the Ely-Fagan American Legion Post 1151 and was a Navy Veteran.
He is survived by his wife Lucille, his sons Robert (Mary Pat), Stephen (Conchita) and Mark (Kathleen), grandchildren Erin (Rob) Barron, Brian (Sarah) Tobey, Marlena (Sean) Hucko, Alexander (Natalie Perkins) Tobey, Lindsey (Mike) Wegner and Sean (Andrew Finn) Tobey, great grandchildren Elliott, Parker, Wyatt, Noah, Abigail and Caroline, brother Roger (Bonnie) and sister Evelyn Schmiedeke, several nieces and nephews.
No prior calling. Friends may attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, January 18, 2021 at 10 am at the Church of the Transfiguration, 50 West Bloomfield Road, Pittsford. Burial Maplewood Cemetery, Henrietta. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Ely-Fagan American Legion Post 1151, 260 Middle Road, Henrietta, NY 14467 or the Henrietta Volunteer Ambulance, 280 Calkins Road, Rochester, NY 14623
