Obituary of Johanne V. Weidman

Johanne Fagan Vogt Weidman of Dansville, NY passed away December 15, 2013 at the Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was 87. Johanne was born April 18, 1926 in Springwater, NY the daughter of Peter and Loraine Didas Vogt. She was predeceased by her first husband, Ross Fagan and second, Mark Weidman; her brother Paul Vogt and her sister Leona Saxton. Johanne is survived by her children, Susan Murray of Fairport, Thomas Fagan of West Palm Beach, FL, Michael (Mary) Fagan of Honeoye Falls and Deanna Fagan of Honeoye Lake; step daughters, Sandra (Stan) Lander, Judy (Dick) Sundlof of Dansville, NY; grandchildren, Keeley Chevrier, Kerry Kiefer, Jonathan and Nathaniel Fagan, Stephany (Richard) Joseph, Stephen (Armminnie) Lander and Brett and Brian Sundlof; great grandchildren, Marqaux, Bridgette, Cameron, Sarah, Rachel and Joshua; brother, John (Barbara) Vogt; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Johanne was a communicant of Holy Family Parish. She was a bookkeeper and office manager of Maichle Oil Company for 25 years in Dansville and was secretary of the Dansville American Legion Auxiliary Daniel Goho Post 87 for many years. She was an assistant Girl Scout Leader and an avid bowler for thirty years at Brae Burn in Dansville. She volunteered at Noyes Memorial Hospital and Meals on Wheels. She liked gardening, golfing, music, reading and sewing. She enjoyed vacationing in Florida, but most of all, she loved family and friends. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her and her memory will be cherished. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Mt. Morris, NY. Friends may call Friday 4-8 pm at the Chamberlin-Baird Funeral Home, 73 Main St. Dansville. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday 11 am at St. Mary's Church, Dansville.
