Sue Harnish

Obituary of Sue Anne Harnish

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our sister, Sue Anne Harnish this past Friday. Sue was born in Buffalo, NY on January 20, 1947 to the late Ed and Betty Harnish. She is survived by her brothers Edwin (Dorothy) and John (Donna) as well as her nephew James(Pamela) and great niece Alexandra. Sue lived most of her life in the Village she loved – Honeoye Falls. She loved the people and the history of this unique Village. She was an avid reader and frequented the local library enjoying British Lit. Sue had many friends over the years living at the Villager and truly enjoyed a good party. She graduated from HFCS in 1965 and began her career as a phlebotomist at Rochester General Hospital retiring to care for her ailing Father and Mother to return later to work with BOCES in a program she loved. 'Her' children were very special to her. Sue's artistic talent showed in her home decorating, painted furniture and small but beautiful gardens. She loved all animals, but especially dogs. The family is very grateful to her long time friends Beth S and Beth P who became her 'guardian angels' over this past year, along with the staff of the Friendly Home which had become her home. Sue leaves many dear and loyal friends in the area. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 am Sat Aug 7th at St Paul of the Cross Church in HF. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Golisano Children's Hospital, a favorite of Sue's
