Obituary of Elizabeth C. Husung

Elizabeth "Betty" C. Husung, of Rush, NY (formerly of Honeoye Falls and Fairport), passed away March 12, 2022 at age 95. She was born July 18, 1926 in Bay City, Michigan to William and Kate Van Egmond. Betty graduated from Pembroke College in Brown University in 1947. She worked as a Latin teacher and a librarian both before and after raising her family. She retired from the Rochester Public Library in 1995. Betty was predeceased by her parents, her husband David, her brother Van (Helen) Marshall, and her granddaughter Lisa Husung. She is survived by her children Carl (Janet), Roy (Lori), and Ellen (Mark) Seelbinder, and grandchildren Sharon, Greg, Kaitlyn (Doug) Yencer, Allyssa, and Lyndsay. The family will receive friends at the Merton H. Kays Funeral Home, 59 Monroe Street, Honeoye Falls, on Saturday, March 26th at 1:00 PM with a memorial service at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Elizabeth's name may be made to First Church of Christ, Scientist (1104 Main Street, East Rochester) or to the Rochester Public Library.
