Obituary of Jean L. Clifford

Jean L. Clifford LeRoy, NY: Jean L. Clifford, 88, born March 27, 1934 passed away peacefully Monday, May 16, 2022. Jean was devoted to her family and friends, a gifted artist, compassionate with all animals, fiercely independent, a retired high school and elementary school music teacher and in her younger days a touring bassist in the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra. In 1956 she married William D. Clifford and enjoyed 58 years of marriage until "Dave" passed away in July 2013. Jean is survived by her two sons; William L. (Margaret) Clifford of Cincinnati, Ohio and John E. Clifford of Rome, NY; her three grandchildren, Nicholas (Haylee) Clifford of Jasper, Alabama, Laura Clifford of Cincinnati, Ohio and Thomas Clifford of Detroit, Michigan; nieces, Lynn Crocker and Lee Crocker; special friends, Marny Cleere and Peg Wetzel who were cherished by Jean and the family will forever appreciate their love and devotion to Jean. A Memorial Service to Celebrate Jean's Life will be held at 10:30am on Friday, May 20th, at the Merton Kays Funeral Home Inc., 59 Monroe Street, Honeoye Falls, NY. Rev. Corey Keyes to officiate. Burial will follow at North Bloomfield Cemetery.
