Allan F. Barnes of Mendon/Victor: October 29, 1930-August 9, 2022, age 91. Predeceased by parents Lawrence Barrett Barnes Sr. and Glady Greene; sister, Nancy O'Reilly (James); sister-in-law, Shirley (Joseph Enfonde); great grandson, Kasen Barnes. Survived by his wife of 62 years Sylvia W. Barnes (McQuoid); children, Fred (Karla) Barnes and Kevin Barnes; 3 grandchildren, Latimer (Steph) Barnes, Lauren Nicol (Chris), Jordan Barnes (Lauren); 5 great grandchildren, Kaden, McKinley, Grayer, Riggs Barnes and Mereck Nicol; brothers, Lawrence Barrett Barnes Jr. (Beverly), Jerry Barnes (Cheryl); sister, Patricia Tyrone; many nieces and nephews. Beloved pets, Holly and Finnegan. Good friends Julie and Tim Loomis. Allan was a Veteran of the Korean War. A lifelong member of the Mendon Fire Department, serving 2 terms at Fire Chief and Commissioner, as well as 1st Fire Marshall for the town of Mendon and Village of Honeoye Falls. He retired after 32 years from Royal Globe Insurance Co., Buffalo, NY. Friends may call Thursday, August 11, 2022 from 4-8 pm at the Merton H. Kays Funeral Home, Inc. 59 Monroe Street, Honeoye Falls, where Funeral Services will be held Friday, 11 am followed by Graveside Service at Mendon Cemetery.
