I am so sorry to hear of Bob's passing. He was a good friend to our family, a great neighbor and the best postman I have ever had.
God Bless

Like so many others, I recognize Bob as a pillar of the Mendon community and a long-time parishioner of St. Catherine's. But my standout memory of Bob is when I first had an opportunity to talk with him some 15 years ago. He was sitting in the barber's chair at Hal's Barber Shop and I was waiting for Hal to call "next" so that my two young sons could get their hair cut. While waiting, my sons and I began to play checkers. Bob soon revealed to us not only his vast knowledge of checkers but also his very kind and gentle way of teaching us the real rules and finer details of checkers. We all enjoyed a good laugh waiting to see who would follow Bob's advice and who would win. We immensely enjoyed ourselves in his company and still talk about it whenever we play checkers. I also experienced Bob's kindness, along with Eileen's of course, when I needed to select a cemetery plot for my parents a few years ago. I offer my deepest sympathies to Eileen and to all of Bob's family.
