Obituary of J. William Meister

J. William "Bill" Meister of Rush, NY passed away peacefully at his home on August 31, 2022 at the age of 82. Predeceased by his brothers Gerald and Eugene and his sister Cora. Survived by his devoted wife of 61 years, Ann; adored by his sons Joseph (Christine) of Mendon, Larry (Janet) of Penfield, Eric (Stephanie) of Ashburn, VA; grandchildren, Sarah (Nicholas) Daniel of Gates, Chloe (Brett) Samuels of Arlington, VA, Josh Boyer of Penfield, Kyra Meister of Washington, DC, Benjamin Meister of Buffalo, William Meister of Mendon; and sister Ann Crisafulli of Pinehurst, NC. Calling hours will be held at Merton H. Kays Funeral Home in Honeoye Falls on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 from 4-7 PM. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 8, 10:00 AM at St. Joseph's Church in Rush, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Rush Fire Department. Bill served a long career in the advertising and sign business and was the owner of Monroe Sign Company for more than 25 years. A graduate of Monroe High School, Bill earned his BA in Business at Rochester Institute of Technology. He was a US Army veteran, and a long-time parishioner at St. Joseph's Church in Rush, NY. Bill will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
