I was very sorry to learn that Bill had died last Saturday. When I had lunch with him at his home just two weeks earlier, his spirits were good and he was his usual alert, humorous and conversational self. Although slowed by numerous physical ailments, he bore them with grace and was still hopeful for improvement and a more active life. Sadly, not to be.
Through the 35 years I've know him, Bill was a good friend, an excellent craftsman, knowledgeable about a remarkable number of subjects, and wise about many of them. My condolences to his family and all who cared about him.

Bill was such a wonderful high school classmate (HF class of '65)! Whenever our class was thinking about getting into some 'mischief' Bill was 'all in'. Just thinking about him makes me laugh!
