Dear Mighty Lord, PLEASE comfort this family as they celebrate the life of beautiful Anne. The heavens just got a bit brighter with her brilliant smile & presence; and she is dancing with you Lord. On earth, she will be missed so deeply, and it cuts like a knife for the broken hearted. However, we in-Christ know about The Blessed Hope and know you are coming for your bride very soon - the Church stands ready! Meeting our Lord & Savior in the air, being personally escorted to the 3rd Heaven AND reuniting with our loved ones is going to be TRULY AWESOME! We will be seeing Anne sooner than we think. Maranatha, Come Lord Jesus, Come!

Anne was simply an amazing woman, friend and mother! We miss her presence so much already. I can't think of a time when she wasn't smiling or encouraging, no matter how tough the going was. A completely selfless person--she gave 100% to everyone and her zest and enthusiasm for life was simple contagious. We can only aspire to live our lives more like Anne did and I feel blessed that she touched our lives.
Our thoughts are with all of her family and friends during this difficult time. Kellin, Matt and the Bellizzi boys

I didn't know Anne very well but I recall her being at an FCA weekend leadership camp when I was the nurse for the weekend, and even in the midst of brain cancer she radiated God's joy with enthusiasm. My son Jon and I also knew Grace at the time, and we are so sorry for your great loss.

Anne McConnell freshman year on 3rd floor back Brooks at Allegheny College was a bright cheery friend I met on day one and holds a special place in my heart. Her attitude and zest for life was contagious and I immediately knew she would be a friend for life. We ran, played soccer and spent at lot of time chasing those Phi Delts. She met Mike freshman year and held on tight because she knew he was the one.
She lived life like it was her last day everyday. I loved she had a mind of her own and did not veer towards complacency or what everyone else was doing. She set her own path with passion and drive. I will always ADMIRE YOU ANNIE. Paige Kennington Lind

To Anne’s family, I worked briefly at HFL with Anne. What a treasure she was, she was kind inside and out. And her smile would light up a room. The many people whose lives she touched will be her legacy to her family. Peace to you all.

My husband and I met Anne and Mike on the day they moved to Honeoye Falls, becoming their first new friends in our town (shortly after the moving truck got stuck in a ravine in front of their new house.) I knew Anne and I would become great friends even though there was a 15 year age difference. How lucky was I, as were all of the friends she made throughout the years.
Anne attracted friends like flowers attract bees. I loved her humor, how she cared about everyone, and the way her spirituality guided her, every day of her life. Though she was absolutely beautiful on the outside, her inner beauty is what radiated out to all who were fortunate to meet her.
Anne gave so much of herself to our community, to her family and still continued to grow as a person.
During her years teaching English, especially at HFL, she was completely dedicated to her students. I loved talking to her about her days at school and the lessons she created, above and beyond the normal curriculum.
"Anne, you fought the good fight. You made the most of every single day. I'm so glad you got to have Kaplan's Matzoh Ball soup. I'll miss you sweet friend."
Mike, Grace and John, we are here for you. Sending our love and keeping you in our prayers.
Barbara and Jerry

I just saw this and it is a shock to say the least. It has been many years since I have seen Anne, but one thing I will always remember is her outgoing personality. We served together in Family Ministries for a year at Browncroft Community Church, where she was loved, by both the kids and her fellow leaders. I give my condolences to her family. She was a ray of sunshine in a world that severely needed it, and is greatly missed.

...Besides making a beautiful quilt for George, always making me laugh at swim practice in High School, there was one time when Grace, Anne and I went shopping over the holidays at Crate and Barrel..I mentioned that I needed a whisk but they only had stainless steel ones and I needed a silicon one. We went home and about a week later, I received a silicon whisk on my door step. I know this may seem trivial but it meant a lot to me! She always had the gift of thoughtfulness and was always generous. She always engaged with selfless, meaningful conversation..I'm going to miss that..

I was lucky enough to marry into a family that was friends with Anne. I didn’t know her for very long, but she had a rare personality where that doesn’t seem to matter too much. Her effect was profound and almost ethereal. Even in a wheel chair, in pain, she could make you double over in laughter and then ask a question so sincere it made you feel like she thought about you every day.
Her years on earth may have been way too short, but her impact and memory will far outlive most. Thanks to the Shannon family for sharing Anne and their love with so many. The world is definitely a better place because of her.

Anne lit up every room she walked into. She was such a beautiful soul, inside and out. Her beauty, smile, wit, and kindred spirit was infectious. You could not help but love this woman the minute you met her. Our lives, as neighbors of the Shannon's, were enriched beyond measure. Our love goes out to Mike, Grace, and John, as well as family and friends. (Thinking of you Kim.)

Anne was so wonderful in getting me started in my career in ministry at the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. She assisted me in writing my biography and continually encouraged me, prayed for us and checked in regularly. She sent me notes of encouragement and I always felt appreciated and that I was making a difference after speaking with her. I will remember how Christ’s love poured out of her and touched everyone that crossed her path. I am a better person because I knew Anne- she continues to bless me everyday.

I’m in complete shock… Anne was one of my favorite people. I taught with Anne at the middle school and later she was a substitute. Always spunky and fun. She got middle school students. Just a love. RIP Anne… you will always live in my memories, my dear friend.
