It was with great sorrow I received the departure of Bette from us . For me she was special because when I arrived in Rochester as student from India in 1966 , it was her company and international outlook made me settle down in Rochester a city very different from the country I came from . It was amazing the international outlook she had and the urge to help people especially students coming from developing countries . We will all miss her and my heartfelt condolences to her family and we will all miss her . May her soul Rest In peace .

Ms Geen was one of my favorite teachers at Nazareth Academy. I will never forget her telling us not to get too close to the swans when we went to Stratford Ontario for the Shakespeare plays. RIP Ms Geen.

Mrs. Geen was one of my all time favorite teachers at St.Agnes high school. I will never forget her easy going personality and her kindness towards us students. She will live on in my fondest memories of the class of 81. RIP sweet soul.

Mrs. Geen was such a positive influence on my life and in my education at St. Agnes. She was truly a gifted teacher, because she presented information in succinct, interesting ways, she was patient and attentive to all the dynamics going on in the classroom and in society, and it was obvious that she cared about us learning. Mrs. Geen created an environment where it was safe and accepting to share thoughts, which really prompted learning. She was also a great stage manager, acting coach, and producer of our shows in the auditorium! She was an Angel here and she's now an Angel in Heaven. I'm forever grateful. Class of '79.

Mrs. Geen was a favorite teacher of mine while at St. Agnes High School. She had a gentle - but determined - way of pushing me to participate in - and win - a NYS speech contest. A treasured experience for both of us! She was one of the most influential people in my life. She was a teacher’s teacher for sure. To her family - I am sorry for your loss.

Mrs. Geena was my English teacher during my education at St. Agnes High Scool. She had an energy and zest for teaching her students. I remember my Junior year, she introduced the Term Paper assignment. When introducing the lengthy assignment, the first words she said to our class was, " You will work harder than you ever have before on this assignment. I guarantee you will produce college material in my class". She was correct! I went to college fully prepared to complete any assignment. I thank her for the dedication to her students and the inspiration for writing and public speaking. God Bless you Mrs. Geen

Mrs. Geen was a tremendous influence on my St Agnes education. She was tough but fair, and I'm amazed at how often I remember her pearls of wisdom to this day. I still giggle at the memory of her impersonating a teenage girl awkwardly giving a speech! Thank you for sharing this amazing woman w/ so many students. Sending prayers for strength & grace to all of you. Mary Beauchamp, Class of 1981.
