Obituary of Violet Jahn

Honeoye Falls – Violet Jahn, 98, went Home to be with her Savior, Jesus on April 10. She was predeceased by her parents John and Viola (Schedel) Brophy, her husband of almost 70 years Edward, sister Dorothy Gerner and dear friends Marion Hollen and Ann Bromley. She is survived by her sister Elinor Liles of Riverview, FL, daughters Deborah Jahn (Paul Bergwall) of Honeoye Falls, NY, and EllenSue Jahn (Peter Pafunda) of Lewisburg, TN, grandchildren Hannah and Joshua Bergwall (Yazmin Fernaays) of Rochester, NY and Christian Jahn (Isabella Davenport) of Nashville, TN, many nephews and nieces. Violet was once an active member of the Ladies American Legion Auxiliary, HF-M Senior Citizens, Mendon Homemakers, Order of the Eastern Star and the Fortnightly Club of Honeoye Falls. She enjoyed time with her family, being near the water, reading, doing jigsaw puzzles and playing bingo. A heart of gratitude goes out to the staff at Highland Hospital ED, 4th floor ACE, 7th floor East, Palliative Care and Hospice Team for assisting in ushering her Home and Pinehurst Episcopal Senior Life and RPH Creekstone for enriching the later years of Violet's life. No prior calling. A memorial service to be held on Sunday, April 23 at 3PM at the Merton H Kays Funeral Home, 59 Monroe St. , Honeoye Falls, NY.
