Obituary of David E. Lewis

David Edwin Lewis ("Monk") passed at age 81 in his home in West Bloomfield in the early hours of May 27th, 2023 after a long illness. David was born on February 6th, 1942 to Kenneth "Buster" and Florence Lewis. David was a distinguished member of the U.S. Army, serving six years. He was a paratrooper in the 101st Airborne. He worked construction until his retirement in 2010, and enjoyed hunting, fishing and the great outdoors. David is survived by his loving wife Judianne, and children Kenneth (Louise), John (Kari), Terry, Tammy (Mark), and Heidi (Terry), and many beloved grand- and great-grandchildren, as well as siblings Gary (Betty) Lewis, Raymond (Karen) Lewis, Katherine (Richard) Henrie, Timothy (Ellen) Lewis, Evelyn (Robert) Montgomery, Linda (Randall) Lusk, and James (Linda) Lewis; David is pre-deceased by his parents, brother Richard, former wife Sue and daughter-in-law Kim. A celebration of David's life will be held at West Bloomfield Congregational Church on Saturday, June 3rd at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to West Bloomfield Congregational Church (P.O.
