Obituary of Jean B. Young

Jean Butler Young, 96, of Honeoye Falls, passed away at M. M. Ewing Continuing Care Center, Canandaigua, on Sunday, April 6, 2014. Jean was born the daughter of Dr. Arch Stephens and Stella Copeland Butler on May 5, 1917 in Middletown, NY. Jean was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Honeoye Falls. She was predeceased by her parents, Dr. Archie and Stella Butler, her husband, William Oliver Young, her sister, Ruth Butler Edwards and a niece, Linda Young King. She is survived by her son, Jeffrey Butler (Carol) Young of Canandaigua and daughter, Martha Young (Barry) Quinn of Honeoye Falls. Her grandchildren, David Christopher (Lisa) Young of Canandaigua, Catherine Louise (James E.) Kelley of Farmington, Katherine E. Quinn (Arthur Siegel) of Delmar and Andrew Oliver Quinn of Philadelphia. Great grandchildren, Tyler and Emily Young, James (Kali) Kelley, Kaitlin (Steven) Bonanni, and Kyle Oliver Kelley, Julia and Anna Siegel. Also four nieces. The family very much appreciates the tender care provided by the staff at Rosewood Avenue, M. M. Ewing Continuing Care Center. There will be no calling hours. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, friends may contribute in Jean's memory to Honeoye Falls Mendon Volunteer Ambulance, 210 East Street, Honeoye Falls, 14472, or to a charity of their choice.
