Obituary of Catherine Guerin Strumph

Catherine Guerin Strumph, age 89 of Honeoye Falls, NY passed away peacefully in hospice on October 26, 2023.

Catherine was predeceased by her husbands Vincent Guerin and Joseph Strumph, parents Lewis Sage and Ruth Sage Newman, son-in-law Larry Cronmiller, former son-in-law Gregory Bovee, mother-in-law Ruth Guerin and sister-in-law Jeanette Gardner.

Catherine is survived by her children Lewis Guerin (Barbara), Vickie Cronmiller and Kathy Bloom (Rennie). Grandchilden Chris Bovee (Kristel), Dr. Laura Bovee (Dr. Marcos Sanchez), Steven Bovee (Corinne), Michael Guerin (Carmen), Katie Kohler (Aaron), Michelle Faulkner (Jeff) and Amy Olson (Cody). Great Grandchildren Mia, Lucas, Emery, Everly, Adelynn, Warren, Danielle and Natalie. Step children Dave Strumph (Gina), Carolyn Hochadel (Bob) and Bob Strumph (Linda). Also, Brother-in-law Chris Guerin (Sandy) and several nieces and nephews.

Catherine lived in Honeoye Falls and Mendon all of her life. She enjoyed winters in Florida for many years. She loved gardening. She especially loved growing roses, african violets and orchids. She loved painting, knitting, sewing, dancing and playing the organ. Catherine enjoyed traveling. She had many loved animals through the years including horses, dogs and a lamb.

Thank you to Pinehurst senior living where Catherine lived for 4 years. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Kidney Foundation.

Friends may call Thursday, November 2, 2023 from 5-7 pm at the Merton H. Kays Funeral Home, Inc, 59 Monroe Street, Honeoye Falls. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, November 3, 2023 at 2pm at St. Paul of the Cross Church, 37 Monroe Street, Honeoye Falls. A family only burial will be held in St. Paul of the Cross Cemetery.
