Obituary of Deborah J. Milne-O'Brien
Deborah Joyce Milne-O'Brien of Honeoye Falls died Friday November 22, 2024, at the age of 70. She was born the daughter of Raymond C. and Joyce Jeannine DeBoer Milne on January 12, 1954, in the City of Pittsfield, Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Deborah was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig's) terminal disease in December of 2023. Complicated by pseudobulbar palsy and several strokes. Deborah was preceded in death by her son Kade Edward O'Brien, her father Raymond C. Milne and her mother Joyce Jeannine Milne.
Deborah is survived by her husband of 42 years Edward Patrick O'Brien of Brooklyn, NY, and her children Shaun Patrick O'Brien, and Meaghan Anne Onofrio (O'Brien) Nick Onofrio. Grandchildren, Noah Scott Wells, Declan Kade O'Brien, Logan Kade Onofrio, Cameryn Jeannine Onofrio, Payton Anne Onofrio and Reagan Francis Onofrio. Siblings, Raymond (Connie) Milne III, Richard (Mary Lou) Milne and Rebecca (Dale) Milne-Adkins. She will also be missed by numerous other families and friends.
Deborah attended Hope Christian College in Holland, Michigan. Deborah was always involved with the community of Honeoye Falls, NY. Long time parishioner of First Presbyterian Church of Honeoye Falls, founding member of Festival on the Green starting in the 1980's, CEO of The Kade Project, in 2011 and Area Coordinator US Marine Reserve Toys for Tots since 2011, toys distributed locally at the Mendon Community Center.
Deborah received the Dewitt-Clinton Masonic Award in March of 2024 from the Union Star Masonic Lodge #320 F&AM, 3 North Main St. Honeoye Falls the Masons recognized her many years of service and giving back to the community.
Deborah worked as a secretary and was previously employed at Episcopal Senior-Life Pinehurst as the Assistant Activity's Director. She ran the after school program at the Honeoye Falls Middle School, called Aspire in the 1990's. Deborah enjoyed maintaining her gardens at home and caring for her many adopted Doberman Pinschers. Spending time with her Grandchildren.
An avid bibliophile, she enjoyed reading and collector of JD Robb and Wizard of OZ books.
A Graveside Service will be held in the Village of Honeoye Falls Cemetery, 214 N. Main St. Honeoye Falls, NY 14472 on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at 11:00 AM, the Rev. Kirk Baker officiating. Reception to follow at First Presbyterian Church.
