Obituary of Carl J. Arena

Carl J. Arena of Honeoye Falls died Sunday, December 14, 2014 at Strong Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. Carl was 88. He was born December 11, 1926 in Rochester, NY the son of Frank and Jenny D'Angelo Arena. Carl worked owned and operated the once Honeoye Falls Variety Store and worked in the Honeoye Falls area most of his life. He was a WW II Marine Veteran and was a member of the Honeoye Falls American Legion Post 664. He was predeceased by wife Shirley. Carl is survived by his son, Gerald Arena, daughter Diane (Tom) Horan; step-son Kimberly Brown, step-daughter Lisa (Dean) Shellman; 8 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Friends may call Thursday 1-3 and 6-9 pm at the Merton H. Kays Funeral Home, Inc. 59 Monroe St., Honeoye Falls. Mass of Christian Burial Friday 10 am at St. Paul of the Cross Church, 37 Monroe Street, Honeoye Falls. Burial, St. Paul of the Cross Cemetery.
