Mrs. Panek was one of my very favorite teachers at HF-L. She inspired me to become a teacher and, because of her - and the Spanish language I learned from her, I obtained my first Special Education teaching position in El Paso, Texas, teaching Spanish-speaking children with learning disabilities. Kay's natural ability to connect with her students, her sharp wit, and her genuine love and affection for her students are attributes I've aspired to my entire career. My love to her family, whom she loved dearly... - Heidi Stephany Ondek, HFL Class of 1980

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. We also had a passing this summer, and this section of an Irish Blessing helped. ...And if my parting has left a void, Then fill it with remembered joy. Please send my thought to Miaca.
