Obituary of Kay C. Panek

Kay C. Panek of West Henrietta died Thursday January 15, 2015 at age 68. She was predeceased by her parents Roy and Georgia Crowell Congdon and her brother Kenneth Congdon. Kay taught Spanish for 35 years, 33 of those at Honeoye Falls Lima Central School. She received her BA from SUNY Fredonia and continued her studies logging more than 30 hours at SUNY Geneseo. She received the Rockefeller Fellowship to study at the University of Madrid. Kay is survived by her loving husband of 45 years Donald; daughters, Maica Sara (Chris) Knisely and Courtney Jo Panek (Jason Palo); granddaughters, Tera Jo Milazzo and Brynlee Faith Palo; siblings Bethany Congdon and Kevin Congdon; several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Saturday, January 17, 2015 from 2-5 pm at the Merton H. Kays Funeral Home, Inc. 59 Monroe St. Honeoye Falls where Services will be held Sunday at 3 pm.
