It was so easy to see and feel Renee's big heart as soon as I met her! I will never forget her sweet, giving character, a woman who so generously traveled to my Oswego college classroom with her wonderful daughter Barbara to share her expertise with future teachers.
A life-long learner and teacher. Thank you for sharing yourself with us.

We met Renee only a few times but know that she was the matriarch/role model for the entire Lord clan and they are blessed to have had her for so long. The last time we saw her was at Terry and Mary's on the beach and she was completely in control of the entire dinner operation! Please know that the entire Lord family is in our thoughts and prayers.

Dear Charles,
We extend our sincerest sympathy to you and your family at this very sad time.
Renee and I go all the way back to 1981 when I was hired as her kindergarten teaching assistant at Long Branch Elementary School. I had little experience and I will always remember her telling me that she would teach me everything I needed to know about teaching all grade levels. After working with her for two years, I can truthfully say she was my best teacher and mentor. I went on to successfully teach for 22 years. I will always be indebted to her for this.
Besides being an outstanding, dedicated teacher, Renee was a wonderful caring person. Her infectious smile will always be unforgettable along with her unceasing positive attitude. She will remain in the hearts of us all.
Rest in peace Renee. But knowing Renee, if there is a school in heaven, I'm sure she will be teaching.
God Bless,
Gerri & Dave Wainio

Renee was to me, a rare gem!
I remember passing by her Kindergarten classroom after school as she sat diligently going over student papers and actively preparing every detail of the next days lessons before she went home. Her smile reflected "joyful moments" in the fact she truly loved her students, even the"unruly" ones.
I remember her taking little time out for lunch except to devour an entire orange...peel and all on a daily basis!
She was very kind to me as a new Art teacher at Long Branch Elementary. I will always remember the class when her students first used paints in my room. As a novice and a very "green" one at that... my heart was in teaching and Renee, in her wisdom knew this....
After Renee's students were returned to her, with paint covering their clothes, Renee did not scold or give me any sign that she felt things were "out of hand'. Rather, she took the hands first two students in line, (as was her way) smiled and said, Thank you.... And I am SURE Renee made 25 phone calls home to parents, apologizing and making light of the fact that the children were covered in paint and most likely did not mention my name. I never heard anything about this class, and because of it, grew into a more responsible teacher. She was an angel in life and has a spirit which will continue to be an inspiration to me and the thousands of hearts she touched!

Renee was such a approving and loving sister. No matter what we talked about she was always ready to laugh. She and I shared the memories of being little girls together. We had lots of fun talking about it. To say there is a big hole in the family is an understatement. I love you Ne'-Ne', Nan

Yi, you were very nice to me. As a grandmother, and as a part of my family tree. We had some very good times together. My favorite time we had together were the cruises, and just plain spending time together. You were a person I would look up to.
The eleven great years we had together were the best years of my life.Even though I didn't remember much from when I was a mere child, I still have great memories of you. The good thing is that you lived long enough for me to put a memory of you in my heart. You were the ultimate candle that will forever shine in my heart, that candle will never be extinguished. You have taught me so much that it is practally impossible to count.I have cherished your words in my heart. I love you, and your words. Good bye my yi, you were so good to me. You are forever in my heart. <3 I Love You Yi!!
