Obituary of Rita M. Carrier

Rita M. Carrier of Honeoye died, Saturday March 26, 2011 at her home. She was age 79. Rita was born the daughter of Norris and Pauline Cochrane Clement on August 23, 1931 in Morristown, NJ. She was predeceased by her husband, John in 2000. Rita is survived by her loving family, her children, Marsha (Bill) Fitzgerald, Mitchell ((Audrey) Carrier, Bradley (Ellen) Carrier; grandchildren, Jason (Jennifer) Fitzgerald, Connor Fitzgerald, Sarah (Jason) Hogan, Nick (Nicole) Carrier, Tanya (Todd) Curtis, Evan Carrier and Austin Carrier; great grandchildren, Ciara Curtis, Branden Curtis, Samantha Carrier, Dylan Carrier, Elizabeth Fitzgerald and Jack Hogan. Several other family, including her Cochrane cousins, sister in law Sheila (Bill) McAuliff and brother in law Robert (Virginia) Carrier. Rita taught at Honeoye Central School for over 20 years. She was a faithful member of St. Mary's Church in Honeoye and the Rosary Society. She volunteered for the Ontario-Yates Hospice and the Cancer Society. Rita was also an honorary Honeoye Lake Rotary Club member. Rita requested no prior visitation and welcomes her family and friends to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, April 9, 2011 at 11 am at St. Mary's Church, Route 20A, Honeoye, the Rev. John Hayes celebrating. Burial, Richmond Center Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Honeoye Public Library, 8708 Main Street, Honeoye, NY 14471.
