Obituary of Shirley G. Brennan

Shirley Grace Brennan, age 86 of Livonia formerly of Rochester, died Friday, April 1, 2011 surrounded by her loving and devoted family. She was born November 21, 1924 in Rochester, NY the daughter of George and Grace Paige Frieson. The family would like to thank the caring and compassionate staff of The Jewish Home of Rochester Transitional Care Unit, The Episcopal Church Home, Wing 2N, and most recently Dr. Michael Apostolakos and Dr. Judy Liu at the University of Rochester Strong Memorial Hospital. Shirley was a member of St. Matthew Church in Livonia. She was predeceased by her husband Thomas Brennan. Survived by their children, Christine (John) Slagle, Maureen (Brian) Dwyer, Thomas (Theresa) Brennan, Michele (Ronald) Bianchi, James (Margaret) Brennan, Mary Beth Brennan; grandchildren, John (Sarah) Slagle, Mark (Melanie) Slagle, Elizabeth (Alessio) Deluliis, Andrew Dwyer, Michael (Kristy) Brennan, Karen (Eamon) Matthews, Ronald (Melissa) Bianchi, Brandon Bianchi (fiance, Maggie Nunn), Kelly (Jon) Cosentino, Casey Bianchi and Adam Brennan; great grandchildren, Kalei and Finnegan Slagle, Declan Brennan, Ethan and Alana Matthews, Tommy and Bailey Hinson; sister, Bernadette Voorhees; nieces, Annette (Joseph) Kemmis, Barbara (Donald) Laflame; nephews, Terrance, Kevin, Paul, Barry and Patrick Brennan and their families; loving canine companion Sandy. Friends may call Monday, April 4, 2011 from 4-7 pm at the Merton H. Kays Funeral Home, Inc. 59 Monroe Street, Honeoye Falls. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, April 5 at 11 am at St. Matthew Church, Livonia, the Rev. Larry Gross officiating. Burial, St. Micheals Cemetery, Livonia.
