I enjoyed visiting with Dorothy so much at the Mendon Quilt Shop! She was so supportive and helpful... and funny! It was an honor to get to know her and to learn from her!

I was saddened to hear of Dorothy's passing. I enjoyed chatting with her when the quilt shop was open both in Mendon and Honeoye Falls. I'm sorry to her family for their loss.

My first memories of Dorothy are back in Evanston when a small town boy from Wisconsin came to the big city to see a baseball game, Cubs and Aunt Mamie took care of us for a week or two while I visited there. I guess we saw more of Dorothy in those days then later in life. although we talked at one of the Anderson reunions that she attended. I talked to Tom a week or more ago and he said she was not doing well. May the Lord be with her and Ken, God's Peace.

Dorothy was the best friend and neighbor anyone could want. We enjoyed so many good times with Dorothy and Kenny. Her passing leaves a big hole in my heart.

I love you Aunt Dorothy. Dan and I had a great time in 1997 when we visited you and Uncle Ken. We went to Niagra Falls. The quilt you made us for our wedding means a lot to us. I love you!

I sure will miss you Dorothy. It was great sharing Scandinavian heritage and food: hard tack, smoked salmon, pickled herring, lingonberry pancakes just to name a few. And I'll always remember the wonderful times we all had together. Miss you!

Dorothy, I will miss you. Although we didn't do a lot of the sames things we never had a shortage of conversation. I miss those phone calls and you. Love ya, as so many in Michigan would say

I started my rug hooking obsession pretty much at the Mendon Village Quilt Shop where Dorothy kindly allowed us to meet twice a month. We had a lot of fun and I particularly remember getting ice cream cones on those hot summer nights when it got too hot to hook any more.
Dorothy was a lovely warm person and I will always remember her. She is too soon gone.
I will keep Ken and Lulu in my thoughts and prayers and I hope that they can have some peace and joy in their lives.

We have fond memories of Dorothy. She and Ken lived next door to us for many years. Dorothy was a special person of compassion and love. We will surely miss her but know she has gone home to the Lord.

I will always remember sitting in the back seat of a rental car with Dorothy in Siena, Italy. We laughed heartily as Ken (driving) and Jim (navigating)tried to read the Italian map and find our destination for Mark Schilling's wedding. We made it, but not without a few wrong turns! What a wonderful sense of humor she had! She was a dear friend.
