Anne F Parrish of Ionia died December 3, 2016 at age 68 as a result of pancreatic cancer. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Wayne; daughter, Valerie (Scott) Phillips, and son, Bradley (Denanda). She is also survived by 2 brothers, James (Nancee) Fetzner and Thomas (Odette) Fetzner; sister Katherine "Kat" (Frank) Wratni; many nieces and nephews, and a supportive extended family.
Anne was born November 3, 1948 in Rochester, NY, the daughter of the late Robert F. and Josephine C. Fetzner. She attended St. Michael's Grammar School and Nazareth Academy, then worked as a secretary at Kodak, where she met some dear lifelong friends. She was active with the Ionia Women's Club and was co-author of "Unmasking the Past," a bicentennial history book on Ionia. Anne's interest in genealogy led her to join the Danube-Swabian genealogy group. She enjoyed sewing, trips to the Strong museum with her nieces and nephews, high tea at various tea houses, and long Sunday drives with her husband. Anne and Wayne enjoyed traveling together, took 2 cross-country trips, and visited all 48 states. Her greatest joy was motherhood, and she cherished every moment spent with her immediate and extended family.
Anne and her family are grateful for the outstanding care she received from Dr. Hezel and his team at the Wilmot Cancer Center.
