I feel privileged to have gotten to know and spend time with Tony over the years. We spent many vacations and outings together as a family but I especially enjoyed just hanging around the house with him and Kat because that was when he would come out of his shell and really be himself. We always joked around together and liked to poke fun at each other and I loved that I could do that with him, we had a true brother-sister type of relationship and I only wish it could've lasted longer. He was a kind hearted soul and I'm so grateful to him for all the ways he was there for us, and especially for making my big sister so happy. We love you Mr. T. and will miss you always. (P.S. I'll try not to step on "the rat"!)

As Kate's grandmother, I was happy to welcome Tony into our family. We enjoyed many family occasions and vacations together. We had a special bond and competitive spirit in playing word games. Though he tried not to show it, Tony had a big heart and he knew I "got him". This is a devastating loss to Kate and all of us. My sincere condolences to his family in England who he loved very much.

Tony was more than a son-in-law to me, he was a friend. I will miss his hearty laugh, competitive spirit and kind ways. He had a warmth and a depth that most didn't get to see. When Tony got a "firestick" that could get all the old shows and movies from my childhood, I was very excited. But those fond memories never turned out to be quite as good as I'd remembered them. He never said a thing to discourage me, just sighed and put on the next one, like a good friend would. It's that kind of patience and self-sacrifice that we tend to take for granted, but never should. I sincerely hope he's somewhere wearing a superhero cape, with the strength of ten men and the ability to fly.

My dear hubby, I miss you more than words can express, and I wish so much that we had more time together. But I’m still grateful for every crazy moment, the good AND the bad, and I wouldn’t change it. My fondest memories of Tony are how loving and steadfast he was in caring for me after surgery, cleaning and changing my dressings, cooking me meals, and always finding a way to make me smile. The spontaneous slow dance we had in an airport. His raucous laughter and wild grin when we ran through the pouring rain. Tony, you made me who I am today- stronger, kinder, and more open-minded. Your handprint is engraved on my heart; part of you will never die, because I carry it with me. We loved a lifetime’s worth, and I can’t wait for you to welcome me into Heaven. Try not to bust the place up too much in the meantime, bubby. I love you to the moon and back.
–Always, Kat
