Dear MaryAnn,
I am so sorry to hear about Larry's passing. My memories of Larry and you from GOHS are all so fresh in my mind today. So many good times....And after reading Larry's obit, I can see that you and Larry have had a wonderful life together.
I am sure that Larry, my brother Mike Shannon, and Al Dreschler are all together in heaven. And I am sure they are playing some kind of sport! And that they are so enjoying being together! What a wonderful group of guys!
My words seem inadequate but I hope that somehow they will let you know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and all of your family.
Sending love and prayers to all of the Pierce Family.
With Love,
Debbie Shannon Dietrich

Bob, my late husband, was one of Larry's football coaches at Olympia, and I was his 9th grade social studies teacher. We both had great admiration for his leadership skills and integrity. He and his family were always gracious to us. Thinking of your entire family at this sad time. From jane Grant

Dear Mary Ann,
I am not sure if you will remember me but I was your PE teacher at Longridge elementary school.I was also Larry’s PE teacher at Longridge & his JV baseball coach at Olympia HS. I have sweet memories of you both as you displayed your enthusiasm for athletics. In reading Larry’s obituary I am very impressed with all that he accomplished. Your family should take great pride in the legacy he has left.
As a side note I am in good health & living in Webster with my wife of 62 years.
God Bless,
Marty Nemeroff

Larry was bigger than life. Larry was a leader, the very best at everything he did. His family and friends will always remember his enthusiasm, his compassion, and numerous accomplishments. He was far more than a friend. I'm sure God has a special spot in heaven as a reward for all Larry did on his earthly journey. Rest in peace dear friend. I miss you dearly. Ken Preston

Truly a remarkable man who left an indelible mark on this world. So grateful he is at peace and with God. His passing leaves behind his family who will miss his physical presence but I have no doubt he will be with them always....I recently said to MaryAnn (after seeing a group photo of the kids and grand-kids), how amazing it is that the love that began with them so, so long ago has added such love and beauty into this world. Love and hugs....Kerry Rickard Perry
