This community has been blessed to have a family like the Moffitts' as true pillars of the community. Hank Moffitt is one of those people that everyone wanted to say the "know" him and were always happy to see him, get that handshake or hug and see that incredible smile. We used to chuckle as Hank always seemed to have a couple ice-cream coupons in pocket to give to a child he met or donate to community functions.
We have lost one of the great one's but are certainly rich for having the opportunity to know him.

I met "Hank" in the summer of '65, when he was promoting local bands at Sock Hops on Conesus Lake, I was also blessed to meet his two daughters and later his son and wife. Hank asked me to help him set up for roller skating parties on several occasions and taught me how to roller skate. While I was in the Air Force, stationed at Forbes AFB, Topeka, Kansas, I got married, Hank sent us a beautiful gift and card. When my son was born in '70, he again blessed us with his generosity. For the past 25 years I've published a Christmas Newsletter, which Hank had always looked forward to reading. I will certainly miss this wonderful, caring and generous man who helped me in so many ways throughout the years. I'm so sorry to hear of his passing and will keep him and his family in my prayers.
Hank, you'll be sorely missed by me and so many others, this world will certainly note your passing. May God Bless and Care for you throughout eternity and give solace to your family.

Uncle Hank shared with all of us his love of music. During our annual family Fourth of July picnic, he would always have big band music playing on the stereo in the living room.
My favorite story was about his first date with my Aunt Marie. They went to a Count Basie concert!

I'm so sad to hear of Hank's passing, I will always have fond memories of him and Marie at Dipper's. I can still picture his easy smile when he came out of the office with his camera to take pictures of customers enjoying their ice cream for the window display.
Your family are in my thoughts at this difficult time,
Alice Hallahan

My Condolences to Mr. Moffitt's family. My boys and I have many pleasant memories of visiting Dipper Dans and seeing how many days in a row we could stop to get an ice cream. Mr. and Mrs. Moffitt were part of the fabric that makes Honeoye Falls so special.

I met Hank when I worked at Rochester Lumber, just across the road from Dipper Dan's. He was always so kind and would put a smile on everyone's face. We would take a walk over to get a treat when we have a break, so we got to know his wonderful wife and family. He will be missed by many but leaves a legacy of smiles and kindness. Irene

We were so sadden to hear that your dad passed away.
When I asked Mom what memories she had, she was quick to remember that when she walked everyday your dad would drive by on his way to work in his big car and give her a toot and a wave. She also showed me the framed class photo of when both our dads were in the third grade. What handsome young boys they were!
When I think of your dad, I think of ice cream, yum and fun times at the roller skating parties. Especially the day I did not fall down doing the Hokey Poky and I was one of the lucky winners and was given a dime by your dad. In later years when I saw your dad at the Marketplace doing his shopping I always stopped to talk to him and he always finished our conversation with a hug. He gave awesome hugs! :)
Your dad filled so many peoples life with love and happiness he will never be forgotten.

Hank was the greatest guy who ever stepped into a pair of shoes. In 1969 I fell roller skating and broke my wrist. Hank picked me up set me on the bleachers and made sure I was o.k. Hank and I would chat about Honeoye Falls , the old stores and folks. He knew everyone in town. His favorite lunch was a grilled cheese or a grilled Hot dog. He will be missed by many, I miss him already. Sue, Ginny and John hats off to you all as the best caregivers ever. May all the Moffitt family be at peace with his passing.Thank you for giving me the privilege to care for Hank this past year. Hank rest in peace my friend
